Meditation is an ancient technique used for thousands of years to develop awareness of the present moment. While many spiritual traditions use meditation as a part of their practices and teachings, the technique itself doesn’t belong to any particular faith or religion. Though ancient in origin, it’s still practiced today in cultures all over the world to create a sense of peace, calm, and inner harmony. A guided meditation session could involve sound, visualization, mantras, mindfulness, deep breathing techniques and altered states of consciousness. There are few limits to the power of your subconscious mind. At Ocean Bay Wellness we can guide you through with our guided meditations
There are many ways that meditation may benefit you:
You will be invited to discuss with the Meditation Guide what you hope to achieve from the guided meditation. Sometimes, your guide may intuitively already have a suggestion for you. At Ocean Bay Wellness we encourage and support you to go deep within and discover what you truly need in that moment. (Mindfulness) You will be invited to sit or lie down fully clothed for this process to ensure you are completely comfortable. Meditative music will be played. Sound, and aromatherapy may also be utilized depending on the practitioner you book with. You will then be lead through some simple breath work before being guided through various visualizations to achieve your meditation goals. Many go through various emotions as they experience true relaxation and healing. Each practitioner may use different methods which can be discussed at the time of booking or at the initial meeting.
